Development of universally understandable visual working instructions from 3-D-construction data

For workers at the assembly lines, industrial companies need visual working instructions, which are universally understandable und flexible to generate. This doctoral thesis is about how to develop these visual working instructions, how their internal structure and visual appearance has to be and how they can be generated from 3-D-construction databases of a company. The suggested solution comes from the combination of knowledge from three different fields: linguistics, cognition psychology and the science of the artificial. As a result we have graphical representations of propositions, the internal structure of those follows the principles of the Universal Grammar (UG). Their formal visual appearance corresponding to the principles of the human information processing - inter alia the UG -, the graphical representations as a whole are in correspondence with the universal cognitive information processing. Visualizing the principles of the UG not only ensures the language-independent understanding of the meanings, but as for its pure formal character also serves as a basis for a later flexible generation of the working instructions.
